In his latest book, Ecocivilization, Jeremy Lent explores how to create a more ecological focused civilization. How can we redesign things like housing, income, infrastructure, and agriculture to work together as a coherent whole, setting the conditions for all people to flourish?
This lecture and workshop is the 4th Schumacher Lecture, organized by Schumacher Action Labs, in collaboration with Symbiotic Shift and We are the Regeneration. After welcoming David Bollier in 2023, Helena Norberg-Hodge in 2024 and falling in love with the future together with Rob Hopkins last year, we are looking forward to continue the thread of how to imagine ánd take action to create a thriving world for all.
The event has two parts:
1. Deepdive Workshop: Weaving a New Story of Meaning | 12:00–17:00
An interactive exploration of how our worldviews shape our lives and societies, and how we can weave a new story grounded in interconnectedness, regeneration, and belonging.
2. Schumacher Lecture: Ecocivilization – Making a World that Works for All | 18:30–20:00
Drawing on his new book, Jeremy Lent explores what an ecological civilization could look like and how we can build a world in which all life can flourish.
